The newest National poll results are in for Five years from now, gas prices will be…cheaper or more expensive? The majority (69.2%) said Cheaper.  The gender breakdown was 68.9% of males and 69.5% of females saying Cheaper.  The National Prediction Accuracy was 73.3%.

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest National poll is Would you rather…Fly or Breathe underwater?  I think I would rather fly, but both things sound good.  I am going to guess the majority will say fly.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular?

Weekly Wii Fit Wrap Up

Saturday, January 24, 2009

I did not do any Wii Fit on Saturday.

Sunday, January 25, 2009

On Sunday I did Free Step for 30 minutes.  I also added 35 minutes to the activity log for walking (20) and bowling (15).

Monday, January 26, 2009

I just did Free Step for 30 minutes on Monday.

Tuesday, January 27, 2009

I actually was going to do Wii Fit today, but when I went to do it I found my battery dead in my Wii Remote and had to plug it in to charge and I did not get back to it after it charged.  I lost my back for when I use regular batteries and it is annoying without the back and it sometimes ends up off because the batteries fall out even with the silicone case on, so just putting in other batteries was too frustrating an option on Tuesday because I was already more than out of patience for the day.

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

On Wednesday doing the Body Test I got perfect balance for the first time.  I never thought I would actually get it.  I also did 1 hour of Wii Fit.  I did  30 minutes of Free Step, Expert Rhythmic Boxing, Hula Hoop 10minutes, and Soccer Heading Advanced 3 times.

Perfect Balance

Thursday, January 29, 2009

On Thursday I did 48 minutes of Wii Fit.  I did Expert Rhythmic Boxing twice, 10 minutes of Free Run, and 12 minutes of a variety of strength exercises.

Friday, January 30, 2009

Today I did 43 minutes of Wii Fit.  I did Expert Rhythmic Boxing and 30 minutes of Free Step.

New Everybody Votes Poll and Result

The newest National poll results are in for Do you hang toilet paper from the…front or back? The majority (73.9%) said Front.  The gender breakdown was 73.3% of males and 74.9% of females saying Front.  The National Prediction Accuracy was 73.3%.

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest National poll is Which shoe do you tie first?  Right Shoe or Left Show.  Well, it really depends on which shoe I put on first.  I guess I usually put my right show on first and tie it first, but I do not think I consistently do it the same way.  I am going to predict most say right.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular?

Endless Ocean for Nintendo Wii Review

Endless Ocean for Nintendo Wii

Endless Ocean for the Nintendo Wii is an underwater diving game.  In the game you get to swim around an Manaurai (Manoa Lai) sea, which is a fictional sea.  It does have real life animals, though.  The fictional part is made more as a smaller scale area that combines species that do not normally coexist so close together that effectively makes it more interesting.  Because these are real animals and the game gives information on them as you interact with them more, this game can be somewhat educational.

You swim using just the Wii remote, which is an issue I have with the game.  I really wish you used the nunchuck to control how you move around, but instead you just point at the screen in the direction you want to move, which is not too hard to get used to, however it would be way better with nunchuck controls.  You swim around just by holding the B button and you press A to interact with the fish.  Overall the controls end up being pretty simple, which works good for making this a kid friendly game.

The game has a pretty free form plot with you being able to go on certain missions or just dive and discover at your own pace and switch between the two ways as you please.  This allows for the game to be appealing to a larger audience including those that want a more relaxing paced game and kids that may not usually be able to do missions in games (by the way the missions are usually easy enough they can do them, too).   It does not, however, have any major action aspects to make it interesting for those that want a fast paced action game.

Overall, though, I love this as a good relaxing simulation like game.  I kind of think of it as an underwater Animal Crossing like game because my favorite parts of Animal Crossing are fishing and getting insects.  Thus the aspect of discovering new fish in this game is similar to that.   Of course, this is also a much more simplistic game with not as much other activities, but it suits the game well.  I hear you can add your own favorite music to swim around to by putting MP3 files on  an SD card, but I have not personally tried that.  Sounds like it adds some interesting depth to the relaxation aspect of this game.

New Everybody Votes Poll and Result

The newest National poll results are in for Will personal space travel to Mars happen in your lifetime? The majority (63.4%) said No.  The gender breakdown was 61.5% of males and 66.5% of females saying No.  The National Prediction Accuracy was 58.4%.

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest National poll is Would you rather be in front of or behind the camera?  For me I would definitely prefer to behind the camera.  I do not like posing for photos and actually am not much into taking people photos at all.  I am going to predict most will say the same.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular?

Wii Shop Releases January 26, 2009

Today one new WiiWare title and one new Virtual Console title were released on the Wii Shop Channel.

Niki Rock ‘n’ Roll - This WiiWare title costs 500 points.  This is a classic game style game with a new twist.  The main goal is just to defeat the enemies and get through the levels, but it appears there is an emphasis on timing (i.e. doing the right actions at the right time).

Wonder Boy in Monster Land - This virtual console game was originally released as a Master System game.  It costs 500 points.  The object of the game is to bring peace back to Monster Land by defeating monsters and ultimately the evil dragon.

Wii New Releases January 26 - February 1, 2009

Published by kjscrafts under New Releases Edit This

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

Coraline - This is an action adventure game based on the upcoming theater release of a movie with the same name.  It also includes mini games.  Sound like it could potentially be a good game, but it is always hard to tell with movie themed games.

Thursday, January 29, 2009

Rygar: The Battle of Argus - This is also an action adventure game.  This is a remake of the Playstation 2 so-called classic.  It is not exactly the same game and is supposed to be a good Wii capable version, but that is the game makers saying that, so that does not mean much to me.  It does sound like it at least has good potential.

New Everybody Votes Poll and Result

The newest National poll results are in for For birthday gifts do you prefer, A surprise or What you asked for? The majority (57.8%) said What you asked for.  The gender breakdown was 62.2% of males and 51% of females saying Waves lapping the shore.  The National Prediction Accuracy was 62.6%.

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest National poll is Five years from now, gas prices will be…cheaper or more expensive?  I think they will be more expensive.  It has nothing to do with the economy, but the simple historical fact that stuff increases in prices as the years go by and usually at the same time so do salaries.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular?

Weekly Wii Fit Wrap Up

Below is my progress based on the past 7 days.  I encourage you to share your weekly progress on these weekly Wii Fit wrap ups, as well.

Saturday, January 17, 2009

Saturday I did 38 minutes of Wii Fit.  I did the running Island Lap for the first time and boy is it hard to do a steady pace.  I did not have trouble with my stamina, but I did not have a steady pace according to the Wii Fit and only had a 42% burn rate, which still means only 1 star.  I also did 10 minutes of Super Hula Hoop, Expert Rhythmic Boxing, and 10 Jacknifes.

Sunday, January 18, 2009

On Sunday I did 39 minutes of Wii Fit.  I did all aerobics.  I did the Expert Rythmic Boxing, the running Island Lap, 10 minutes of Super Hula Hoop, and Advanced Step.  I got better at the Island Lap, as today I got 53% burn rate.  Still only 1 star, but way better than Saturday.  I also played some with the kid I babysat on his Wii, but did not count that time.  I am proud that I did get a perfect score on the Beginner level of Soccer Heading, though.

Soccer Heading Perfect Score

Monday, January 19, 2009

On Monday I did a total of 42 minutes.  I did an Island Lap of running, although, I meant to only do the short run, but since I accidentally entered it as Island Lap I decided to do it anyways.  I also did 10 minutes of Super Hula Hoop, Advanced Step, Rhythmic Boxing, and a few minutes of Soccer Heading.

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

This Tuesday I just did 30 minutes of Free Step to get my 30 minutes of Wii Fit in for the day.

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

Technically the Wii Fit says I did nothing.  I started the 30 minute Free Run, but after about 15 minutes it was frustrating me because it was not properly sensing the Wii remote movement in my pocket, so I went to quit.  I thought it would give me credit for the 15 minutes, but it did not and I was too frustrated with it to do anything else for the day.

Thursday, January 22, 2009

On Thursday I just did 30 minutes of Free Step.

Friday, January 23, 2009

Today I also just did 30 minutes of Free Step.  I really like getting the 30 minutes done in one shot and catching up some on my recorded shows at the same time.

New Everybody Votes Poll and Result

The newest National poll results are in for Which do you consider more relaxing to hear?  A babbling stream of Waves lapping the shore. The majority (65.7%) said Waves lapping the shore.  The gender breakdown was 63.7% of males and 68.6% of females saying Waves lapping the shore.  The National Prediction Accuracy was 72.6%.

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest National poll is Do you hang toilet paper from the..Front or Back?  I assume is the over or under question.  Personally I think I usually do it from the back, but honestly it rarely ever gets put on the holder.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular?
