The newest poll is Does the sun feel warmer at…Sunrise or Sunset?  I am going to vote with sunset, as the temperature is usually warmer at sunset than sunrise and then it feels warmer.  I am going to predict most will say sunset.

Black Friday Wii Deals

Published by kjscrafts under Uncategorized Edit This

Looking through the ads yesterday I noticed some interesting Wii Black Friday deals, although nothing too spectacular that I wanted.   The most interesting deal I noticed was the Sam’s Club Ultimate Wii Bundle, which comes with the console, two extra Wii remotes, two extra nunchucks, King of Clubs, and Mario Super Sluggers for $425.  I think a few other places had bundles with games, but this one stood out because it had the extra Wii remotes and nunchuks.

Some game deals I noticed were $9.99 games at Best Buy that included Wonder World Amusement Park, AMF Bowling, Disney Princess Enchanted Journey, and Game Party.  Gamestop is offering Wii Fit with a free Wii Fit reuseable shopping bag.  Toys R Us is offering Rayman Raving Rabbids 1 for free when you buy Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party at regular price.

Do you plan/did you get any good Black Friday Wii deals?

New Everybody Votes Poll and Result

The newest National poll results are in for Do you refer to your parents as Mom & Dad or Dad & Mom?  The majority (90.3%) said Mom & Dad.  The gender breakdown was 89.3% of males and 92% of females saying Mom & Dad. The National Prediction Accuracy was 90.6%.

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest poll is You’ve caught yourself daydreaming.  Are you thinking about something..You’ve already done or You’re planning to do?  I guess most of the time I daydream about something I have already done.  I am going to predict most will say something they are planning to do.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular?

Carnival Games: MiniGolf for Nintendo Wii Review

Published by kjscrafts under Games, Sports Games Edit This

I usually am not into golf games and the only one I have enjoyed is Mario Golf for Nintendo 64.  I never planned to try out Carnival Games: Minigolf, but I ended up playing it with a kid I babysit and was pleasantly surprised with it.

The gameplay does not have much overall depth, as there are only three holes in nine different areas. Just beating the holes is not the only goal, though.  As you play the holes you try to collect coins and then use them in the different prize shops to buy items such as balls and outfits.

The most interesting thing about the game is the unique holes.  Many of the holes have special shortcuts including ones that lead to mini games.  If you beat the mini game, then it usually leads to you getting a hole in one.

Overall I still would not buy the game for myself, but it definitely is not an entirely bust of a game.  For one the graphics are decent and the scenery of the different courses is quite good.  Secondly the gameplay is fun, however, I think it lacks some depth.  Basically it boils down to being a worthwhile game to at least try, but I would not recommend anything except renting it.

New Everybody Votes Poll and Result

The newest National poll results are in for Do you believe in an underwater civilization?  The majority (67.4%) said No.  The gender breakdown was 67.9% of males and 66.6% of females saying No. The National Prediction Accuracy was 70.7%.

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest poll is Are doors best left…Open or Closed?  Well, it really depends on the kind of door.  If it is one that leads outside of your house or apartment I would say it is best left closed.  Inside doors I tend to think are best left open.  I am just going to vote closed and predict closed so that it shows up on my results page when the poll closes, although I really do not think it is a good question that can be answered either way.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular?

Wii Shop Releases November 24, 2008

Today two new WiiWare and one new Virtual Console games were released on the Wii Shop Channel.

Bolngz - This WiiWare title costs 1,000 points.  This is a puzzle like game with rubber band like Boingz characters.

Soduku Challenge! - This WiiWare title costs 500 points.  It is basically just Sudoku, but it is supposed to have over 100,000,000 Soduku puzzles.  It has three difficulty levels.

Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure - This Virtual Console game costs 800 points.  It was originally released as a Sega Genesis game.  This sounds like a weird game with the super hero being Boogerman who picks and flicks boogers, belches, and uses a deadly signature stomp.

Wii New Releases November 24-30, 2008

Published by kjscrafts under Games, New Releases Edit This

Monday, November 25, 2008

Cake Mania: In the Mix! - This is a cake baking and decorating game.  This version has some Wii sensor control mini games and co-op mode.

Skate City Heroes - This is a skateboarding game.  It is compatible with the balance board.

Ski & Shoot - This is a skiing and shooting event type game.  It is compatible with the balance board.

Tuesday, November 26, 2008

AMF Bowling World Lanes - The first AMF Wii game was confusingly frustrating for my brother and I who both throw left hooks (he’s a lefty and I throw a back up), as it did not seem to allow for lefty controls.  Basically I lost faith in their games being any good, so as much as I love bowling I might not even try this new version, although the Gamestop description says easy controls for both hands.

Championship Foosball - This sounds interesting as it is the first time I have heard of a foosball video game.

King of Fighters Orochi Saga - This is a fighting type game.

Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine - This is based on the Iron Chef television show.

Safecracker - This is a puzzle type game.

Winter Sports 2: The Next Challenge - This has several winter sports.  I think it is compatible with the balance board for certain parts.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular?

Balance Board Compatible Wii Games

Since I got Wii Fit about two weeks ago I have been interested in what other games I can play now that I have the balance board. Some of the games do not sound that interesting to me, but other sound like a lot of fun. Below is the list of games out as of today, November 21, 2008, that are compatible with the Balance Board.

All Star Cheer Squad - This is a cheerleading game. It does not sound fun to me, but I can admit to it seeming like the kind of game that needs the balance board to make any sense.

Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum 2009 - This is another fitness game. It has an interesting two player mode, but other than that it does not sound all that interesting in my opinion.

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party - This is supposed to have some interesting balance board mini games.

Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip - This is a snowboarding game.

Skate City Heroes - This is a skateboarding game.

Skate It! - This is another skateboarding game.

We Ski - This is a skiing game.

Wii Music - This music game uses the balance board as a drum pedal.
