New Everybody Votes Polls

I have been out of town the last week and thus have not voted in the latest polls, so for today I am just going to share the newest polls.  I will start back with latest results on Thursday, although due to having my first craft show starting Thursday I may get behind on the polls again.  Should return to normal definitely by next week.

One of the latest polls still open is You’re going swimming.  What do you do?  Touch water with toes or Jump right in.  I definitely always at least touch the water with my toes first.  Sometimes I then jump in and other times I then slowly get in.  I think most will say the same.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular answer?

The next one is Have you ever had gum stuck in your hair?  I am not positive, but I think I did once when I was little.  I think most will say No, though.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular answer?

The latest one is Do you believe in love at first sight?  I am voting No and will predict most will say Yes.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular answer?

Wii Shop Releases September 29, 2008

Today two new WiiWare and one new Virtual Console games were released on the Wii Shop Channel.

Art Style - Orbient: This is a WiiWare game.  In the game you navigate a star in orbit to collect other stars.

Bomberman Blast:  This is a WiiWare game.  It is the latest in the series of Bomberman games, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary of the first Bomberman game this year.

Super Turrican 2:  This is a Virtual Console game originally made for the Super Nintendo.  This action game was one of the best graphics games of its time, although nowadays it probably looks old school.

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility - I really hope this comes out this new release date, as I was really hoping to get it a few weeks ago and already bought it through a preorder.

We Cheer - This seems like a ridiculous game, but also kind of interesting.  It is nice to see something unique and it does at least use the Wii Balance Board for some added uniqueness.  I personally am not into cheerleading, but I think this is a good game to add to the Wii variety of game types, which is something I really like about the Wii and Nintendo systems in general.

Wii Shop Releases September 22, 2008

Today 2 new virtual console games and 2 new Wii Ware games were released on the Wii Shop Channel.

Mega Man 9 - This Wii Ware game is a continuation of the Mega Man series.

Plattchen Twist ‘n’ Paint - This Wii Ware is a painting tiles puzzle game.  Sounds kind of interesting, although potentially confusing, too.

Super Dodge Ball - This virtual console game was originally released on the NES.  The name basically says what this game is about, i.e. playing dodge ball.

Vectorman - This virtual console game was originally released on the Sega Genesis.  This is an action/platform game.

Wii New Releases September 22-28, 2008

Published by kjscrafts under Games, New Releases Edit This

Monday, September 21, 2008

de Blob - This sounds a little bit like Mercury Meltdown Revolution.  The main point is to recolor the in game world and save it from a black and white future.

Sim City Creator - This sounds like a nice new addition to the Sim series of games and has potential to be fun if you are into those types of games.

Wario Land: Shake It -  This is the newest in the Wario Land series of games.  This uses the Wii Remote sideways, so it may not be the best Wii Remote gaming experience, but I think it will work good for this game giving it a slightly more old school feel while still using some of the motion controls.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Brothers in Arms: Double Time - This is a Wii version of the first two Brothers in Arms games, Road to Hill 30 and Earned in Blood.

Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2009 - Another Cabela hunting game.

LEGO Batman - This is sure to be a fun LEGO game if you are into the LEGO video games or even just into Batman.  So far, I have found all LEGO games a lot of fun.

Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked - A survival adventure game about trying to get off the island and/or making a life on the island.

Pitfall: The Adventure - Sounds like an interesting action/adventure game that is supposed to use the Wii controls pretty well.

Rebel Raiders - This is an air combat type game set in a futuristic world.  I have never been into flying simulation games and after the very dismal Wing Island I am even less convinced to try any on the Wii.  That does not mean this might turn out to be a good game, though.

Samba de Amigo - Okay, so this may be a dorky seeming game with maracas, but personally I think it sounds pretty cool.

Twin Strike: Operation Thunder -  I did not find much info on this game, but it appears to be some sort of helicopter action game.

New Everybody Votes Poll and Result

The newest results are in for the poll on What task is more preferable? Washing Laundry or Cleaning Dishes. The majority (59%) said Cleaning Dishes.  The breakdown by gender was 58% of males and 60.4% of females saying Cleaning Dishes.  The National Prediction Accuracy was 59%.

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest poll is Would you rather water-ski or snow-ski?  I really not sure on this one, but I guess I would rather water-ski. I am going to guess that most will say snow-ski, but maybe the majority will say water-ski.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular answer?

Improve You Reflexes and Meditate with Ninja Reflex

I really do not know why I decided to try Ninja Reflex.  I guess maybe it was the fact that Ninja was in the name.  I honestly did not know what to expect from it, so it is not like it was a highly anticipated game that disappointed me.  It just left me wondering why did I put this in my Rental Queue.

Basically the game is just a set of mini games that are supposed to help improve your reflexes/reaction time.  The mini games are not all that interesting, but are at least overall easy to play and friendly for the whole family to try out.   The main object appears to continue to beat the different mini games and then take the tests to improve your belt ranking.

The only really interesting part of the game is the meditation mode.  It is kind of funny how it coaches you through how to meditate.  Sure, it can be useful and helpful if you want to learn to meditate, but I am sure you can find something similar for free as a podcast or something online rather than purchase this game for that.

New Everybody Votes Poll and Result

The newest results are in for the poll on Are you on friendly terms with you neighbors? The majority (76.5%) said Yes.  The breakdown by gender was 75.6% of males and 78.3% of females saying Yes.  The National Prediction Accuracy was 78.8%.

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest Worldwide poll results are in for the poll on Can you speak more than two languages?  The majority (65.4%) said No.  The breakdown by gender was 64% of males and 67.7% of females saying No.  The Worldwide Prediction Accuracy was 57.4%

Did you vote with the majority? Was your prediction correct?

The newest poll is Which would annoy you more? A Traffic Jam or a Long Line at register.  Definitely the Long Line at register would annoy me more than a traffic jam.  I am going to predict most will say the same.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular?

The newest worldwide poll is How many hours a day do you watch TV?  Less than two hours or More than two hours.  For me I almost always watch more than two hours, as I usually have the television on while I do other things including blogging on all my blogs.  I think most will say more than 2.

What is your answer to this poll and what do you predict will be the most popular?

Wii Shop Releases September 15, 2008

Today a new virtual console game and two new WiiWare games were released on the Wii Shop Channel.

Strong Bad Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free - This is the second in a series of five Strong Bad game episodes.  It is a WiiWare title that costs 1,000 Wii Points.

Potpourrii - This is another WiiWare game.  This one costs 800 Wii Points.  This is a puzzle style game related to the seasons and the seasons going out of whack.

Mega Man 2 - This is a Virtual Console game that was originally released for the Original Nintendo (NES).  It costs 500 Wii Points.  This is a pretty classic game series and a very well done one.

Wii New Releases September 15-21, 2008

Igor - This game is based on the movie of the same name coming to theaters.  It may be good or it may be horrible.  It is always a toss up with games based on movies, as sometimes the games are better than the movies (like Surf’s Up) or the movies are awesome but the games stink.

Littlest Pet Shop - A game based on toys, mostly aimed at little girls, and basically an advertising scheme to buy the real toys.  I think that is all that needs to be said for this game.

Rebel Raiders - This is an air combat type game set in a futuristic world.  I have never been into flying simulation games and after the very dismal Wing Island I am even less convinced to try any on the Wii.  That does not mean this might turn out to be a good game, though.

Sim City Creator - This sounds like a nice new addition to the Sim series of games and has potential to be fun if you are into those types of games.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - The long awaited Star Wars Lightsaber game comes this week.  I will definitely try to rent this game, but will not buy it first because I already bought Harvest Moon this month and that game has now been delayed for release at the end of the month.  Anyways, this Star Wars game is set between Episodes III and IV, so it should be interesting plot wise.

TNA iMPACT! - This is a wrestling game based on the show of the same name.  Not my style of game, either.

Zoo Hospital - This could be an interesting simulation game if you are into animals, which I am not, however, it still sounds worth maybe trying for me.
